Caskey Torah Academy of Greater Philadelphia seeks a Middle School Language Arts Teacher to begin in the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for candidates with experience teaching language arts and working with middle school students. Minimum of one year classroom lead teaching experience is a requirement and a degree in Education is preferred. Responsibilities:


Communications


  • Creating and disseminating regular, efficient communications to school families, stakeholders and donors through a variety of platforms.
  • Directing the weekly Kol Torah Newsletter
  • Maintaining the school’s social media presence
  • Manage the CTA Website

Marketing 

  • Directing all marketing efforts for the school using a variety of media

Fundraising

  • Assisting in Donor Development
  • Overseeing Donor Recognition and Donor Events
  • Running the annual scholarship banquet
  • Coordinating Family and Friends Day

Admissions

  • Coordinate Open House
  • Facilitate tours and admin meetings
  • Set up calls with schools
  • Schedule and manage visit and testing days for new students
  • Assist with registration
  • manage the admission portal on genius education

PTO Liaison

  • Work with PTO leaders on the various events

Miscellaneous

  • Coordinate website payments, all wufoo forms
  • Manage staff appreciation events
  •  Coordinate and assist with various board initiatives
  •  Lead or assist in special events such as Concerts
  •  Attend CTA Board Meetings to share information

Caskey Torah Academy of Greater Philadelphia seeks a full-time reading specialist skilled at remedial reading instruction at the elementary level for the 2024-25 school year. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Provide remedial reading instruction in small-group setting utilizing research-based methods of instruction and intervention for elementary students, primarily grades 1-3 
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and administrators regarding lesson plans and student progress 
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress utilizing DIBELS, running records and/or IRIs  
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress via phone, email, parent-teacher conferences, and report cards 
  • Attend grade-level team meetings and perform all assigned faculty duties 

Qualifications: 

  • Reading Specialist certification, required
  • Certification in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education (Pre-K-4) 
  • Training in Wilson Reading System or Wilson Fundations, preferred
