Mrs. Laytin has been teaching first grade at CTA for 20 years, and she truly feels at home because this school is like a family.. Before joining this community, she taught kindergarten through third grade in public schools, gaining a wide range of experience with young learners.

In my classroom I focus on building a caring, encouraging environment.I love raising a classroom of "bucket fillers" and watching each child grow academically, socially and emotionally.

Teaching is her passion, and she feels very fortunate to be a part of her students' growth each year.  One of her greatest joys is seeing former students grow up, and even attending their weddings!

In her spare time, Mrs. Laytin enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.
