Music Program
At each grade level, Caskey Torah Academy students practice reading musical notation, develop an understanding of musical elements and concepts, become familiar with music vocabulary, and appreciate music from around the world through instrumental instruction, singing, and movement activities.
Students in Grades 1–5 enjoy weekly 30-minute music classes that build musical skills each year. Younger students focus on developing foundational keyboarding skills through the Music and the Brain program, while older students expand their experience by learning how to play a variety of instruments, including the recorder, xylophone, ukulele, and drums. This progressive approach nurtures rhythm, coordination, and a lasting love of music.
