Music Program

At each grade level, Caskey Torah Academy students practice reading musical notation, develop an understanding of musical elements and concepts, become familiar with music vocabulary, and appreciate music from around the world through instrumental instruction, singing, and movement activities.

Caskey Torah Academy is the proud recipient of a Music and the Brain grant for a keyboard lab and curriculum materials. Students begin playing the keyboard in preschool, and develop their skills as they move through the elementary school years. Students in upper elementary grades learn to play the recorder during music class. Our 4th and 5th-grade girls participate in the Link Up recorder program through Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute.
